Basic information All our features are secured with end-to-end encryption: Notifications, information exchange, messages. Information we collect We collect the minimum information required to achieve the purposes set out in this Policy (see below), and you have the ability to limit such collection, as specified below under “Your Choices”: (a) Registration and Account Information: In order to use our Services you need to connect to a passenger. In order to do this securely we need to give us very basic personal information(e.g., name, email, p hone number) on the sole purpose of making the registration process secure and easy. That means your name and photo (if you choose to provide them) will be visible only to system administrator and the system users that need to see in order to maintain a higher security level. When you install the App, you’ll also be asked to allow us access to your mobile device’s contacts. NO copy of the phone numbers or names of your contacts will becollected NEITHER stored on our servers. We only need a Unique ID of your device in order for us to be able to connect you to our systems. To get that Unique ID we need the “device contacts” permission. (b) Activity Information: While using the SchoolBusNet services, we will check but not keep, your data connection status, whether you have received a push notification or need an SMS message instead. No one can see that information. The result of the check is registered as SMS might have been sent instead of the push notification. This check is very important in order to maintain a high level of service. (c) Additional Information: We may also check but never keep your GPS location data – you can choose whether to allow this by changing your geolocation tracking settings. This has the sole purpose of displaying your location on the map in relation to the Bus stop or the position of the bus. Uses and Retention The information we collect from you ensures you can use the SchoolBusNet Service and can be contacted from school administration. Your information is retained for as long as you use the service. Disclosure We do not sell your personal information or share it with third-parties outside of SchoolBusNet. Cookies and Tracking Technologies We do not use cookies or tracking technologies in our app. Specific Location Practices: EU residents EU Privacy Rights If you are resident in the European Economic Area, you may have certain rights, in accordance with applicable laws, concerning your personal data, including the right to request to access your personal data, to have your personal data corrected or erased or restricted, and the right to object to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes. Third-Party websites Our app may contain links to other third-party websites or you may access Apps from a third-party site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these third-partysites. Security We know that security is important to our users and we care about the security of your information. We maintain technical, physical, and administrative security measures to protect the security of your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure,or alteration.
